Shayna Mills is the Founder and President of Refined by Fire, Inc., a faith-based nonprofit created to support and strengthen firefighter wives and families. As the wife of a firefighter/paramedic and a mother, Shayna understands firsthand the unique challenges, sacrifices, and strength required to walk this life with faith and resilience.

With a heart for encouragement and community, Shayna founded Refined by Fire to create a safe, Christ-centered space where wives can find rest, spiritual renewal, and authentic sisterhood. Her passion is helping women grow in their faith, strengthen their marriages, and feel supported through every season of life alongside the fire service.

Shayna believes that God uses life's hardest moments to refine His people—not to break them, but to strengthen them for His purpose. Through Refined by Fire, she is committed to building a lasting community rooted in faith, connection, and hope for the entire firefighter family.

Above all, Shayna's heart is to see women reminded they are never alone—and that God is always at work, even in the fire.

Tamara Fox serves as Vice President of Refined by Fire, Inc., bringing a heart for faith, service, and community to the mission of supporting firefighter wives and families. She is deeply committed to walking alongside women who face the unique challenges of life connected to the fire service, offering encouragement, understanding, and steady leadership.

With a passion for fostering meaningful connection and spiritual growth, Tamara plays a key role in helping shape the vision and direction of Refined by Fire. She believes in the power of faith-filled community and intentional support to strengthen marriages, families, and personal walk with the Lord.

Tamara's leadership reflects a servant-hearted approach rooted in compassion, prayer, and a desire to see women reminded of their strength, worth, and purpose—even in the midst of life's most demanding seasons.

Stephanie Orlowski serves as Secretary of Refined by Fire, Inc., supporting the organization's mission through thoughtful organization, clear communication, and a heart for service. She is passionate about helping create a strong foundation that allows Refined by Fire to effectively encourage and equip firefighter wives and families.

With a deep appreciation for faith-filled community, Stephanie plays an important role in maintaining structure and continuity within the nonprofit. Her attention to detail and commitment behind the scenes help ensure that the vision of Refined by Fire is carried out with integrity, excellence, and care.

Stephanie believes that when women are supported, connected, and rooted in faith, families are strengthened. She is honored to serve in a role that helps foster community, encouragement, and lasting impact within the firefighter family.

Charlie Brown serves as a Fire Service Advisor for Refined by Fire, Inc., offering valuable insight from the perspective of an experienced firefighter and paramedic. His role supports the mission of strengthening firefighter families by providing guidance rooted in firsthand knowledge of the demands, culture, and sacrifices of the fire service.

In addition to his advisory role with Refined by Fire, Charlie is the Co-Director and Chief Operating Officer of the nonprofit Next Rung, an organization dedicated to combating mental health challenges among firefighters and first responders through mentorship, leadership development, and peer support. His work with Next Rung focuses on reducing stigma, encouraging connection, and supporting the emotional well-being of those who serve.

Charlie is passionate about supporting firefighter marriages and families and believes that strong families and healthy minds are essential to resilient first responders. His involvement reflects a commitment to service beyond the station—partnering with Refined by Fire to help build faith-centered community, understanding, and support for those who stand alongside our firefighters.
